Speech at the reopening of the National Theatre in Munich, 1963 (b/w photo)

Munich, Bavaria, Germany On November 21, 1963 the reopening of Munich's National Theatre is celebrated with a performance of the opera "Die Frau ohne Schatten" (The Woman without a Shadow). On November 23, 1963 it was followed by the first public presentation of "Die Meistersinger von Nuernberg" (The Mastersingers of Nuremberg). The National Theater, is handed over to the director of the Bavarian State Opera, Rudolf Hartmann with a solemn state ceremony.
