Creator: Bassett-Lowke Ltd Scale: 1:1200. A waterline model of the passenger liner 'Empress of Britain' (1930) made entirely in wood with metal fittings and painted in realistic colours. The hull is painted green at the waterline with the remainder of the hull, upperworks and superstructure, white. There is a narrow blue stripe running the length of the hull at approximately main deck level. Fittings include a foremast with four derrick booms and mainmast, painted brown; twenty-two lifeboats with brown hulls, all stowed on davits; three tall funnels, painted yellow; and a shelter deck aft.
