Schaukel. Die Schaukel, schon im Altertum bekannt, ist ein Versuch, den Wunschtraum der Menschheit, das Fliegen, zu verwirklichen. Aber wahrend sie lange nur auf das mit zwei Seilen am Gerust aufgehangte Schaukelbrett beschrankt blieb, gestaltete man spater dieses oft muschel- oder gondelformig um. Im spaten 19 Jahrh kamen dann die mechanisch bewegten amerikanischen Schaukeln auf. Translation: Swing. The swing, known since ancient times, is an attempt to realize mankind's dream of flying.
