Ethnic Chinese Indonesians wear the Peranakan traditional dress during a festival a day after the Chap Goh Meh celebration, which marks the end of the Chinese New Year in Jakarta's Chinatown February 16, 2003. Local media said the celebrations, which included a parade attended by tens of thousands in Jakarta, were the first open Cap Goh Meh celebrations since Chinese cultural activities were banned 40 years ago.
