Racing, Mr Fred Darling. The famous Beckhampton trainer to whose stable Gordon Richards is attached. He has had a most consistent and successful career as trainer for Mr J A Dewar, Lord Lonsdale and Lord Ellesmere. Mr Darling headed the list of winning trainers in 1933, was second in 1931, second in 1932, and seventh in 1935, when he trained 42 winners. He trained the Derby Winners in 1922, 1925, 1926 and 1931, won The 2,000 Guineas 1925 and 1931, and was successful in 1931 in The 1,000 Guineas.
