From the United States, now on their return after having completed the most successful tour of the United Kingdom ever attempted by minstrels. Slavery, as it appeared in America prior to the great rebellion, faithfully portrayed by 16 real Negroes who, prior to June, 1865, were slaves in America. The Negro as he is, and as he appeared on the [p]lantations, with all the drolleries, witticisms, and eccentricities characteristic of the race. New burlesque acts, songs, & dances. Plantation scenes and holiday festivals, presenting to the public the most chaste, original, and pleasing entertainment known in the annals of Negro minstrelsy. The Slave Troupe Brass Band will parade through the principal streets, in their magnificent band carriage, on the day of their arrival in town. Will also give a free serenade in front of the hall each evening. N.B. - Any question in regard to the former lives of these freedmen they will be most happy to answer. Sam Hague, proprietor and manager. W. H. Lee, business manager Evan.512
