- COMBO PHOTO - British designer Alexander McQueen pops up from a trapdoor in the stage, waves and goes down again (in this combo photo) after the Givenchy autumn/winter 1999/2000 high fashion collection which was presented July 18 entirely by using plastic mannequins appearing from the same trap-doors . [The Givenchy collection, designed by McQueen, is inspired by a 19th century painting by Paul Delaroche depicting the execution of Lady Jane Gray, a great-niece of Henry VIII. ]
