Lyme Regis Museum. English novelist John Fowles (1926-2005) was curator of the Museum from 1979-1988. Built on the site of the home of paelontologist, renowned fossil collector, Mary Anning, the museumÊis one of the architectural gems of the town, concerned with its maritime history, geology, fossils of the Jurassic Coast, andwith the many significant writers connected with the town, including Jane Austen.
