India\'s famed "toy train", running on a two-foot wide narrow guage track, cuts across a highway as it runs through Darjeeling June 10 on one of the highest altitude railway lines on earth. The train, hauled by a 19th century engine consists of three small coaches and runs from the plains of east India to Darjeeling at an altitude of 6,812 feet. The "toy train" takes almost nine hours to clamber along a distance of just 88 kilometres (55 miles) and is a popular tourist attraction in the hill resorts.
