Castell Coch (Welsh for Red Castle) is a 19th-century Gothic Revival castle built above the village of Tongwynlais in South Wales commissioned by John Patrick Crichton-Stuart (1847-1900) 3rd Marquess of Bute. Designed by William Burges (1827-81).
