Image description

Irene Eymann was one of 54 candidates for the 1965 Elmer Girl election at the preliminary round on September 29, 1964, at the Kongresshaus in Zurich. This is one of the tasks according to which the girls were judged by a jury. The Elmer Girl election was launched in 1962 by Hanspaul Schellenberg as an advertising campaign for the beverage manufacturer Elmer Citro. The Swiss people took part in the election, which lasted throughout the summer, by means of ballot papers. In 1970 the Elmer Girl was chosen for the last time.
