situated on the altar of Saint Helena and commissioned by the convent prior Fra' Bernardo de' Scapi; arranged in two orders, the lower with an image of the Virgin with Child and four angels flanked by SS. Lucia, Helena, Mary Magdalene and Catherine of Alexandria with pendentive panels of the Doctors of the Church; the upper order has an image of the Crucifixion flanked by the four evangelists Matthew, Mark, John and Luke; the band down the centre features images of the Redeemer and Saints, and the predella are fives stories relating to the discovery of the True Cross;
