Aeronautics Festival. At Fiumicino Airport (Rome), a major air event was held with the aim of making the public aware of the progress made in the last fifty years by Italian aviation. The festival was attended by Italian and foreign acrobatic patrols and devices of the various types used by our aeronautics, from those that first sailed the sky of Italy to the very modern ones that exceed the speed of sound. Here, in fact, next to the old Farman, the F86-K supersonics built in Italy are speeding like lightning bolts. Illustration for Courier Sunday, 1 July 1956.
