Save by Miracle (Colour Litho)

Save by a miracle. The young Jole Ferrazzi, who arrived late at Milan Central Station, rushed to the last car of the train already in motion. He tries to get on the running board, puts his foot in the foul and falls with his legs on a rail. With surprising readiness of mind, he moves so as to find himself with his body stretched between the sidewalk and the track. The seven freight cars connected to the convoy pass by touching it. Railway workers and travelers come, believing that they find it crushed. But the young woman suffered only superficial injuries to her head and back. Illustration for Courier Sunday, 27 March 1955.
