Saved by cats (colour litho)

Saved by cats. A violent fire broke out, at night, in a house in Venice, surprising in their sleep ten tenants who only by miracle escaped death. Mrs. Antonia Pagan Ballarin, annoyed by the insistent and plaintive meow of two cats, looks out the window and is hit by a cloud of smoke. She starts screaming and wakes up the roommates who rush outdoors. The firefighters, after five hours of fighting, manage to extinguish the flames. The only victims of the accident that caused very serious damage to the building, are the two cats who, raising the alarm with their meows, saved the inhabitants of the building.
