AMERICAN CHRISTIANS MARCH WITH MESSIAH BANNER IN JERUSALEM, 1999-09-28 (photo)

A group of American Christians from the International Christian Embassy march with a large banner proclaiming the Messiah's appearance as they take part in The Jerusalem March September 28. The group marches past the Old City walls and the Tower of David citadel. Thousands of Christians, many of whom hold a firm belief in the coming of the Lord, took part in the march held during the Feast of Tabernacles. Israel says they expect some three million tourists to flock to biblical sites in the Holy Land during the Millennium year and are setting up special police task forces to deal with members of messianic sects they fear may use violence to try to realise apocalyptic visions of the end of the world.
