CHINESE PUPPETEERS DRESSED AS CHARACTERS FROM "LEARNING ENGLISH" DURING THE TAPING OF THE ENGLISH-LANGUAGE TEACHING VIDEO IN TIANJIN. Chinese puppeteers dressed as characters from "Learning English" line up with their day-of-the-week signs during the taping of the English-language teaching video in the northeastern city of Tianjin March 21, 2001. The National Puppet Troupe is working together with Hebei Educational Publishing House and the Canada International Exchange Centre to produce the 150-part video. The joint venture is investing two million yuan ( $240,000) into the project. The video has been approved by the Ministry of Education for national use and will be sold to schools nationwide.
