'The Travels of Marco Polo' was a book first written by Rustichello da Pisa of the tales of Venetian merchant and traveller Marco Polo (c.1254-1324). The frontispiece shows a full length portrait of Marco Polo himself alongside one of the Florentin Humanist historian Poggio (1380-1459). The city depicted is named 'Calicu' and is possibly Calcutta. Rodrigo de Santaella (1444-1509).
