FOR RELEASE WITH STORY BC-RELIGION-BRAZIL-MOON - An image of Reverend Sun Myung Moon (L) and his wife Hak Ja Han Moon looms behind foreign worshipers as they study inside the secretive community compound where members of the Unification Church worship, located in the middle of Brazil's famous Pantanal swampland. The controversial leader of the church and his followers - known as Moonies - have flocked there from the United States, Japan and South Korea to pray under the scorching sun and fish in the lakes. Locals now come to Jardim - Garden in Portuguese - every month to learn how to read and write. They also receive free meals if they tolerate several hours of sermons. Picture taken NOV99. GN/JP
