Israelis watching from outside the crowded confines of the funeral for Yonatan (Yoni) Amadi on Mount Herzl Military Cemetery, watch February 6 as soldiers fire a salvo during his funeral. The funeral for Amadi, attended by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, drew several thousands of relatives and friends of the family for an Israeli soldier named after Yonathan (Yoni) Netanyahu, the brother of the prime minister, and the only Israeli soldier to die during the 1976 hostage rescue mission after an airliner was hijacked to Entebbe, Uganda. Yoni Amadi, who was one of 73 Israeli soldiers and airmen who died in the twin helicopter crashes on February 4, was born the same week of the rescue mission and named after Yoni Netanyahu.
