Psalm 44; The Annunciation

Psalm 44 beginning with initial 'E'; the Virgin and child enthroned, with a bird. Border decoration including a grotesque with the upper body of a young man who wields a bristled brush or club above his head. In the lower margin is the Annunciation. The archangel Gabriel raises his hand in greeting to the Virgin, holding a blank scroll, with the dove of the Holy Spirit penetrating her nimbus.
