The tallest man in the world. Jacob Rheuben Erlich, professionally credited as Jack Earle 244 cm tall greets the train engineer at Waterloo station in London England. He was born in Dever Colorado USA 28 june 1906. He was a movie star in 50 early silent movies and spent 14 years touring with the legendary "Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey" company as a circus performer "Pecos Bill". After his career at the circus he became a Roma Wine Company salesman. He was billed as "The World's Tallest Travelling Salesman". In addition, Earle was a talented artist and worked in a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, photography, and poetry. In 1952, he published a book of poems titled The Long Shadows. He died in El Paso Texas 18 july 1952 at the age of 46.
