The feats of an Italian mountain guide. Haunted by avalanches while accompanying two German spouses on Mont Blanc, the mountain guide Evaristo Croux manages several times to hold the two that fall, with the rope and the ice axe. But in one last stroke of bad luck one of the hikers is injured. So the Croux shelters the couple in a cave and goes down to call for help. Generous and tireless, he then returns to the top and finds the couple semi-frosted, but saves. The guide, already decorated, was awarded a new medal for civil valor.
