Investment in Heaven. A young pilot, Lieutenant Gianni Favretto, was flying with an F-86 in the sky of Pratica di Mare (Rome) when a buzzard crashed into the cockpit of the device, uncovering it. The danger deriving from the loss of the roof was added that of the bird of prey that had fully invested the aviator. Only the expertise, the firmness of the nerves and the physique of Favretto prevented a catastrophe. The pilot took the cable with scratches to his face; only shreds were found of the buzzard, killed by the violence of the collision. Illustration for Courier Sunday, 10 February 1957.
