Century cottage next door- and into a jeweller's and antique dealers shop-ending up in the gutter and spraying showers of petrol over the road. The accident happened when the drive Reg Bungay lost control of teh vehicle as it tore down the hill to the village.. He stayed at the wheel in an attempt to avert disaster- and lost his life in the crash..
