The man operating the transmitter committed suicide- but useful documents etc.. fell into the hands of the authorities. When Communist leaders fled behind their on curtain in 1946 - Nikolas Ploumbidis stayed, and although suffering from tuberculosis lived under assumed names at 12 different addresses. Soon after his arrest - he was disowned by Greek communist party leaders in exile who broadcast from Moscow- stating that he was a “stool-pigeon on the payroll of the Monaco-Fascist Greek Police.”
