Ulrich Graf (1878-1950), co-founder of the NSDAP in 1920 and in the twenties Hitler's bodyguard, in the uniform of an SS brigade leader. Graf threw himself on Adolf Hitler during the exchange of fire at the Hitler Putsch in Munich (1923) and caught 11 bullets. He enjoyed prestige as Hitler's life preserver. On the right breast pocket of his uniform, he wears the so-called 'Blood Order', which identifies him as a participant in the coup. The picture was taken on the occasion of his 65th birthday on 06 July in June/July 1943.
