Wooden sculpture representing Nazi family policy, 1938 (b/w photo)

Königsberg, Bavaria, Germany The winner of first prize for a competition is this work of a 15 year old school child. The 'genetically pure' German family is symbolically placed on the relief of Germany. The eagle with the swastika protects them with its wings, while in the waves around the cliffs of Germany, people are drowning. The wood sculpture is a piece from the Nazi Teachers' League in cooperation with the traveling exhibition of the Race Policy Office of the Nazi Party entitled 'People's Community - Blood Community', which was opened in March 1938 in Koenigsberg.
