DESTOUCHES lights

Lucette DESTOUCHES (July 20, 1912), French dancer, forced to withdraw from the scenes for a problem with a knee, creator of an innovative method of teaching that “unlike classical dance, do not ruin the body.” Born Lucie Almansor, she is also known as Lucette Céline by association with her husband Louis-Ferdinand Céline (Louis Ferdinand Destouches, 27 May 1894 - 1 July 1961). Always devoted and supportive to her husband, she shared her flight to Germany and Denmark, finally returning to France. Widow and alone for more than half a century in the marital house, protecting her husband's memory with extreme confidentiality, she later published “Céline Secret”, written with her pupil Véronique Robert with the intent to redeem the image of her husband by bringing out unknown aspects of such a controversial personality; the book was released in Italy in conjunction with her 100th birthday.
