A table telephone by Ericsson from 1885 (left) and a somewhat newer local battery table station (right) was exhibited in May 1952 on the occasion of a travelling exhibition by the “Pro Telephon” association consisting of nine railway carriages with the motto “Hundred Years of Electric Communications in Switzerland”. The extraordinarily carefully constructed show gives an impressive picture of the enormous development of the telegraph and telephone in Switzerland.
