Switzerland Music Cedric Dumont, 1980 (b/w photo)

The famous composer, conductor and author Cedric Dumont on the day of his retirement, taken on 27 March 1980 in Zurich. Dumont died in Kuesnacht (ZH) on Thursday, May 24, 2007, at the age of 91, according to his legal representative Richard Waelti. Dumont became known to the general public as the founder and leader of the Beromuenster maintenance orchestra. Later he held various management positions in radio and television and worked as a composer and conductor. Dumont has also written musician biographies and culinary books, including the standard work “The Culinary Dictionary”.
